Topock 66 is a restaurant, bar and resort on Route 66 in Topock, AZ, at the Colorado River where Arizona meets California. It opened in July 2013 on the site of the old Topock Marina, and a small hotel followed. The setting is the draw: water, boats and the desert hills, a cool break before or after the long drive across the Mojave.

What is Topock 66?

A waterfront complex with a restaurant, a bar, a shop and a boat marina, just off Interstate 40 at the first Arizona exit. Its owner saved relics from the old marina building and collected memorabilia about Route 66 and the railroad.

Visiting Topock 66: tips

Plan it as a meal stop on the day you cross the river. Just downstream, the Old Trails Arch Bridge once carried Route 66 over the Colorado. Needles, California, with the 66 Motel and the El Garces Hotel, is about 10 miles west.
