Crown Candy Kitchen

Crown Candy Kitchen is a soda fountain, candy shop and quick lunch spot in St. Louis, MO, in the city's Old North St. Louis area. It is the oldest soda fountain still running in the St. Louis area and ranks among the oldest anywhere in the country. Its desserts are the main draw, above all the handmade malts and shakes. For Route 66 travelers it is a sweet detour on a day in the city.

What is Crown Candy Kitchen?

Inside are booths for four, an antique cash register and 1930s Coca-Cola memorabilia. The menu is short, with sandwiches and hot dishes such as chili and tamales, and the chocolates are shaped in molds decades old, some brought from Holland and Germany.
