The Grand Hotel in Gallup, NM, is a two-story brick building from 1925 on West Coal Avenue, one block east of its old rival, the Harvey Hotel. It ran as a hotel until around 1980 and has also served as a store, Ricca's Mercantile. Listed on the National Register in 1988, it is one of the landmarks in downtown Gallup's historic district and a quick stop for Route 66 travellers walking the old town center.
What is Grand Hotel?
A two-story hotel building in the Decorative Brick Commercial style, built in 1925. After the hotel business ended, the building carried on as a shop, and it now counts toward the Gallup Commercial Historic District as well as holding its own listing.
