Route 66 RoadRunner

Route 66 RoadRunner is a gift shop, café and bar in Seligman, AZ, set in a 1930s building that once housed Olson's Chevrolet dealership and garage. It faces Chino Avenue, the street Route 66 followed through town from 1933 until Interstate 40 took the through traffic past Seligman in 1978. The building sits inside the Seligman Commercial Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

What is Route 66 RoadRunner?

One business under one roof: a gift shop, a café and a bar, inside a 1930s former car dealership and garage in downtown Seligman. The storefront signs read "RoadRunner" and "Art Gifts Cafe".

History of Route 66 RoadRunner

Before Olson's, the site was Dr. Conner's garage and Shell station. Olson's Chevrolet then sold cars, and Shell gasoline, to Route 66 traffic. The National Park Service names Olson's among the dealerships of the historic district; the building is part of that district rather than listed on its own.

Rick Bell has run the RoadRunner for about 16 years. In 2025 he put it up for sale so he could retire, and it stayed open while he looked for a buyer.

Visiting Route 66 RoadRunner: tips

It stands on Chino Avenue, the old Route 66 through downtown Seligman, so there is no detour. Stop for a bite, a drink or the gifts, or photograph the old dealership front from across the street. With the business up for sale, check its website before planning a meal around it.
