The Bunny Museum

The Bunny Museum, a collection devoted entirely to rabbits, first welcomed visitors in 1998 in the Pasadena area of California, about 1.7 miles off the old road. It held a Guinness World Record for owning more rabbit-related items than any other collection. The Eaton Fire destroyed its building in early 2025, and the museum has said it plans to reopen. For now, there is nothing to visit.

What is The Bunny Museum?

Before the fire, the museum filled about 7,000 square feet with more than 40,550 rabbit items spread across 16 galleries. Guinness first recognized the collection in 1999, when it counted 8,473 pieces, and the museum kept the record as the collection grew. Its slogan leaned happily into rabbit puns.

History of The Bunny Museum

The museum opened its doors in 1998 and spent more than two decades as one of the quirkier attractions in the Pasadena area. The Eaton Fire of early 2025 destroyed the building. The museum has said it intends to reopen, and fans of the collection are watching for news.
