Young Conservation Area is a 970-acre block of protected land near St. Louis, MO, in the north central part of Jefferson County. It was set aside in 1986 and used to be called the Hilda Young Conservation Area. It lies about 4 miles off the old road and sits among several other conservation lands, which makes it part of a green belt close to the Route 66 corridor.

The area covers 970 acres, a fair-sized piece of open land this close to a big metro area. The short name replaced the older Hilda Young name.
