An educational sanctuary rather than a zoo in the usual sense. Many of the animals are former performers or pets, and they live in large habitats spread over roughly 175 acres of desert.

Kraft started the sanctuary in Las Vegas in 1995 after using big cats in his stage act. It moved to White Hills, Arizona, around 1999 and to its place on Route 66 in 2006.
