Magnolia Gas Station

The Magnolia Gas Station is a small restored filling station of the Magnolia Petroleum Company on a corner in Shamrock, TX, next door to the Pioneer West Museum, which keeps it as an outdoor exhibit. Built around 1930, it shows vintage gravity-feed pumps topped with Mobilgas and Magnolia Gasoline globes and a large round Magnolia sign out front. It sells nothing and is not a working station.
What is Magnolia Gas Station?
Magnolia was a Texas oil company whose stations later carried the Mobil brand, and the restoration shows both names on the pump globes. It is a different building from the Magnolia Station in Vega, Texas, and the Magnolia Service Station in Texola, Oklahoma, both on this site.
Visiting Magnolia Gas Station: tips
Look at the pumps and sign from the street at any hour, then step into the museum next door. The station sits about three-quarters of a mile south of Route 66, which runs along 12th Street past the U-Drop Inn.
