Rolla Ranger Station Historic District, Missouri

Near Rolla, MO, right by the old road, stands a small group of forest service buildings known as the Rolla Ranger Station. Built in 1937 and 1938 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, the five frame and limestone buildings served the Mark Twain National Forest. For Route 66 travellers, they are a fine example of Depression-era public work standing right beside the highway through town.
