Devil Canyon is a steep-walled canyon cut into the southern slope of Paivia Peak, in San Bernardino, CA, about 1.6 miles off the old road. Its creek and its East and West Forks belong to the Santa Ana River watershed. A reservoir built for irrigation and flood control now sits at the canyon mouth, interrupting the stream's natural path toward the valley.
What is Devil Canyon?
The canyon is a deep cut in the mountains of San Bernardino County, carved by Devil Canyon Creek and its two forks. Water that once ran freely toward the Santa Ana River is now held and managed at the lower end.
