Facilities include picnic ramadas, restrooms, hiking trails and camping, and the Winslow Chamber of Commerce calls it a local favorite for over a century. Climbers also use the canyon walls above the water for deep-water soloing.
History of McHood Park
A small dam on Clear Creek forms the reservoir, which drains toward the Little Colorado River. Arizona Game and Fish stocks it with rainbow trout, and bass, catfish, sunfish and carp also live there.
